As I stood on the summit of Doi Pha Tang hill in northern Thailand, the huge expanse of dry grassland stretched out earlier than me like a golden sea. As I gazed out on the breathtaking view, a flock of birds took to the sky, their silhouettes stark towards the sensible blue above.
The sky itself was a sight to behold, an excellent blue that appeared to vibrate with an otherworldly power. Not a cloud was in sight, only a huge expanse of cerulean that appeared to stretch on endlessly. It was as if the heavens themselves had been painted with a brush of pure blue, a shade that appeared to pulse with an internal mild. As I stood there, consuming in the great thing about the scene, I felt a way of peace wash over me, a way of connection to the pure world that appeared to transcend the boundaries of time and house.
As I seemed down on the valley beneath, I seen the way in which the sunshine danced throughout the panorama, casting lengthy shadows and illuminating the textures of the grass and bushes. It was a second of good stillness, a second when the world appeared to carry its breath in anticipation of one thing but to return.
